So you know... There some where in the deep dirty south, under the sun, sprawled out on the grass and curb, we were in a collective deep thought; vibing, talking about music. Pete asked, "whatever happened to that song..." ...as I took a moment to remember the last time I'd heard it...Zach said, "Why don't we release some of that music?" and BLAM! It was on. A week later, this... What you hold in your hand is a compilation of music created and recorded at home. Over these past couple of years we've been learning, experimenting...thinking of new methods of composing, trying to open to the infinite possibilities of creation. One thing we've realized is that our strength as one, as a band, relies on our strength as individuals. Within each of us are different yet relative experiences that are spoken through drums, strings, synths and machines. The following is a mix of tracks composed by the members of STS9. This album is different, though relative to what you might associate with us. Some songs are collaborations. Most are reflections of a soul or lone producer. Basically, we couldn't wait...as we write this we are in the process of recording our first studio album in three years. Its been too long...
