Everyday that goes by is a day closer we all are to the madness that will be NEW YEARS EVE 2009 in Denver, CO at the incredible Wells Fargo Theatre. We pleased to announce that both Big Gigantic and St. Andrew will be joining STS9 on 12/30 while Virtual Boy warms up the spot on 12/31. Each night at Wells Fargo Theatre will feature multiple sets by STS9. Also, Euphonic Conceptions and 1320 RECORDS are hard at work securing the biggest and baddest late night talent we can find to round out what is sure to be an amazing week in the Rockies! 1. pretty lights and most of these other bands that have been mentioned are NOT dj’s. No one is up there spinnin a record and if they are you should leave.
2. there is no live act right now better than Pretty Lights, hands down.
sts9 is my second fave but they have been playing pretty much the same show for the last year now. whats up with the repetition?

I dont know what you guys are talking about, Pretty lights always throws down and would get the place sooo fired up (remember red rocks?) It would make flying all the way from a small town in Washington state even more worth while. However, the opener is not what were all travling from everywhere to see, so im not too worrried about it.

Sorry GHAMP, but as much as I love PL, Derek really does play the exact same sets every single show. Hes fun, dont get me wrong, but his shows are NOT always different, especially because he NEVER remxies his own songs. No hate, just sayin…

Alright, great to hear that multiple sets will be played, hopefully that means at least 2 full sets with a fat encore instead of one set, mini set, extended encore.
Big Gigantic, hell yes, those guys always bring a great show with a lot of passion, will be a pleasure to catch them again.
As for Pretty Lights, i’ve seen him several times and sadly NO he does not bring variety to his sets, and at most his “remixing” involves very minor adjustments here and there or an added bloop or beep here and there, i consider him a lazy live performer, but a talented producer, please don’t schedule him, there are tons of other hard working musicians that deserve the spot.
Rj would be nice, Live bonobo as an opener for acoustic set or after party would be a blessing, the show pre DooT was phenomenal.
Emancipator-Tipper-The Malah-Random Rab-OTT-Shpongle-Pnuma-Flying Lotus-Nosaj Thing-Daedelus
These are some cats that would really set up the night right whether it’s late night or opener doesn’t matter!
Lastly, Saxton is dearly missed, i know Mike Lee is doin his thing and i wish him the best but if there was any way to get at least a collab goin between those two would be amazing.
