I’ve got to tell you, Tribe, I’m really disappointed. Atlas is a sick song and all, but we’ve all heard it and seen you perform it plenty of times. PLEASE give us a real new song.

    neat

  20. Spamming...

Is essentially what I’m seeing all over social networking sites from this. If you’re playing good music, shouldn’t it speak for itself? If you are making a good musical product, you will not need to shove it people’s faces so hard. Calling it a virtual street team is some clever spin though…

  21. KellyBonez

they are giving it away for FREE on the podcast and you can listen on sts9.com and myspace. and this is a smart idea. it’s 2009, embrace the internet good and bad.

  22. Josh

It’s funny how people are fine using the internet to complain about shiz and promote their opinion but the band doing the same thing is “lame”.

Kudos STS9, cant wait for the Murat show this weekend!

  23. Spamming...

Releasing a single to promote an album is FAR different than bribing people to push your product on social networking sites.

The band is also not promoting an opinion, they are selling a product. Some people need to look at this more objectively before leaping to defend this MARKETING CAMPAIGN.

A lot of great music that should “speak for itself” never gets heard. Albums are promoted and that is how they sell. Using your fans to promote is genius. Giving them the latest tools to do so is cutting edge. Rewarding them is kind. If you don’t like the song, don’t participate. Seems pretty straight forward.

    stoked for grand rapids.
