Come let go, live free and enjoy the mysteries and pleasures of life with us. “The Great Cycle Spectacles” will be coming to a limited number of locales in 20-12, and we hope each and every one is as near to you as we can make it. The graphic that STS9 is using to promote this is know as the Hunab Ku. Found in reference to the Maya Calender systems and in the codex the Chilam Balam. Its supposed to be quasi-symbolic of dualism and quasi-representational of a spiral galaxy..the milky way. To read more about this nonsense see The Mayan Factor or Mayan Sacred Science, although I cant recommend either seeing as neither author (“Maya historians”) understand that the word Mayan is used to describe a language and the word Maya is used to describe a people. Now everyone that read this has one more useless fact and one less usefull fact in their head

In support of the use of the Hunab Ku… If you choose to be skeptical of every idea, symbol, or person based solely on historical accuracy or some irrefutable scientific proof, then you will always be disappointed.
A symbol is a symbol. A picture, representing an idea. The symbol does not transmit the meaning of an idea, it only alludes to it. What is important is the intended meaning, the sentiment, that is being expressed by using a symbol like the Hunab Ku or by saying In Lak’ech. The meaning, the sentiment, is far more important than who created it, and why, and when, and who did it first, and whether it could also represent something other than the intended meaning here. It is not about “hype”. It is about communication.

I know you guys have already chosen some and you probably do not get your ideas from these posts, but State Bridge near in Bond CO, near Vale is the an incredible place. It would be my wish to see the most magical band play in the most magical place. If STS9 came to State Bridge it would be an experience, performance, and atmosphere better than any other concert; and I know that all tribe heads and all of the members of the band would feel great about it. Consider State Bridge for what sounds like the best year of touring in history.

Dusty, Maya are the people, they are not Mayan, they are the Maya or the Mayas, Mayan in a language. If you doubt this look it up its very easy information to find. America is a place, the people living in it are Americans, or humans…and we speak English, not American. Samma, sorry you misconstrued my words, I love the meaning and the sentiment but in reality the Hunab Ku is a bunk symbol and cant even be traced back to any meso-american culture. I have always dug tribes concepts, I just wish in this instance they would have used something more pertinent to the idea, such as the Tzolkin or a Quetzalcoatl pictograph. This is how rumors get started (like the world ending in 2012)
