Looks like its gonna be PA stuff, unless you boys have some thing up your sleeves. Cant wait for the next leak, I already got Atlas from like 7 live shows and its fire every time. I think I can even remember when you guys dropped that shit at the FOX in January at the beginning of your PA tour.
Cant wait for NEW YEARS y’all, the 303 has been waiting for some late night Tribeage. Stoked for the acoustic set too!

October 1st, 2009 at 5:11 pm
pa stufff???? awwww. was hopin for some new funky groovy shit. hopefully there will be some of that! p.a. is good….but not….GOOOOOOD. bring it back tribe!!!
October 1st, 2009 at 5:16 pm
^ yes it is. Apparently it’s going to be the PA tracks from this year meets Landscape & Breathe. Atlas and Grizzly are about the only PA songs I can stand. If Heavy shows up on the album, myself and everyone else who digs the old jams will be gravely disappointed..
October 1st, 2009 at 5:30 pm
hells yeah! stoked to hear the next era of 9.
October 1st, 2009 at 5:32 pm
I hope there is some new stuff on the release as well. Tunes that have never been heard before would be killer!!!
October 1st, 2009 at 6:21 pm
Super pumped for the new album! Atlas is a great tune and if it’s any indication of the rest of the album than it will be solid. And I am sure there will be new cuts on the album as well for all you worried that it will only contain “PA” cuts.

ATLAS?????? seriously???? i had so much hope…. i guess i’m doing something else for new years if this is the continued direction. it was fun while it lasted but wow i really thought some great music would be released.
October 1st, 2009 at 8:29 pm
When’s the podcast comin out? i hope you guys have some new stuff coming as well, i got banned from the lowdown last month, but i can still hear the groans coming from the lowdown.
October 1st, 2009 at 9:04 pm
damn, i was hoping the new album would go away from these pa songs…how can sts9 take songs like “heavy” and “atlas” for real…they are NOTHING in comparison to the older material they have written, and that includes newer old material such as aimlessly, rabble, rent, lo swaga, and one a day.
October 1st, 2009 at 10:04 pm
wait? censorship dissapeared? what a significant step! maybe soundtribe will start listening to their genuine fan base too?
October 2nd, 2009 at 9:04 am
Not a fan of the PA stuff, hopefully its a mixture of PA and the organic sector 9 sound i fell in love with….figures crossed
October 2nd, 2009 at 9:54 am
Just because Everyone Nods to the Killer new stuff, doesn’t Equal Majesty always. My opinion Always Has Leaned Down and Away With Great Zingers!!! AD EXPLORATA ’09!! Hopefully theres a Heavy>Grizzly>Lion thing going on how cool would THAT be!!?. Cant wait for tour and neither can all my friends say WHUT!!?!?
October 2nd, 2009 at 10:15 am
yeahhhhhhh play Atlas all tour, every show!!!!!
October 2nd, 2009 at 11:23 am
Who is this Mike Lee character I keep hearing about?
October 2nd, 2009 at 12:54 pm
who’s got my acoustic tickets?!!!! Chi-town brother in desperate need.
October 2nd, 2009 at 1:00 pm
I’m really excited about the direction of STS9s newer songs like Atlas. That being said the realease of Atlas as a the 1st single from AD Explorata is a good sign that this will be an amazing follow up to Peaceblaster.
Word!

um…. even though I have a bunch of friends coming in for NYE…. does anyone want to buy my tickets? I think I’ll be hittin up Greyboy Allstars instead now. I can’t take two nights of PA material and Peaceblaster. Seriously.
October 2nd, 2009 at 1:22 pm
Keep up the stellar work!!
October 2nd, 2009 at 1:33 pm
Censor the negative posts if you must (like my last comment that never got posted, and will never be seen by anyone on this public comment section), but at least pass along the constructive criticism to the band. I think they are seriously testing the loyalty of their long-term fanbase.
Sure, these new tunes bring in bigger crowds (that seem to be getting younger, more drugged-out and WAY more disrespectful of their fellow concert-goers)and I’m happy to see the band growing and reaching more people (after supporting them for so long). Hopefully, for the band’s sake, it’s not a flash-in-the-pan trend. I try to remain loyal and I’ll still go to shows, but it’s hard when I know that I’m going to hear Atlas, The Rabble, Lion, Heavy, HHHF, etc at every show. How long before the new fans start getting sick of that too? Still crossing my fingers for some Landscape and Breath type stuff on Ad Explorata!
October 2nd, 2009 at 1:42 pm
cant wait for tuesday to check out yalls take on atlas in the studio setting.
October 2nd, 2009 at 1:43 pm
Can we get a track listing of all songs on Ad Explorata? I heard lots of new songs will be on it (meaning never heard before stuff!)
October 2nd, 2009 at 1:44 pm
Woo Hoo

PHIPPS! BRING THE RHODES BACK! the 2002 sound CANT BE TOUCHED!

is the first track of an album always the indicator of what’s gonna be on the rest of the ablum? dont’ discredit it until it drops — have an open mind.
October 2nd, 2009 at 7:01 pm
Wow alot of negative talk on the Tribre and they’ve only announced 1 song from the new album. STS9 is talented old or new material quit complaining and start listing can’t please everyone. I’m pretty sure out of the 12 time’s I’ve seen STS9 play that with every new song they play atleast 2 old so deal with it it’s evolution.
October 2nd, 2009 at 8:09 pm
I heard it’s a lot of new material as well!! I think it’s going to be a smashing piece of art, really. The band has and always will be their own artists. They create ART that feels good to them. Period. Everyone and everything changes. I believe they do what they want to do…so basically, love it or leave it. I for one, am very thrilled to see what this new album is all about and will continue to ignore any judgement, especially the shit that’s said about the album BEFORE it’s heard. I mean, really?? What’s with all the hating before any of us heard the album? What are you doing here then?? Love it or do something else!!!
October 3rd, 2009 at 2:36 am
so you really wont allow comments that ask the band why they are doing what they are doing? i honestly want to know whether they think this new direction is an aesthetic evolution or what…
October 3rd, 2009 at 8:19 am
I hope the album is Atlas > Lion > Grizzly > Heavy > Vulcan > Central > Umbra > Arp > West. I would play it 24 hours a day for the rest of my life, including at my wedding.
October 3rd, 2009 at 8:43 am
thanks for censoring my comment
wasn’t profane or inflammatory
just stating my opinion that STS9 is better than atlas
October 3rd, 2009 at 9:50 am
props to YIKES.. definitely well put. i got censored too, so im writing this again. i understand the evolution of the band and their inclusion of their new pb/pa stuff. i mean, if i was them and i had been playing the same songs since 02, id for sure want to throw down new stuff. im just asking for a little mixup.. bring back the old classics. they havent dropped trinoc>vibyl in SO long, its overdue and would definitely do wonders for the crowd. and yeah, newer preteen fans coming to shows ridiculously messed up because its the “cool” thing to do.. at the fillmore show in denver the night before rrx i was surrounded by a bunch of little kids freak dancing and making out not even listening to the music. sad, sad, sad. love you guys, but cmon now, keep it real. seeya in milwaukee!
October 3rd, 2009 at 10:43 am
This PA stuff is processed. What happened to the organic sector 9? I’m sorry….but the new PA tracks lack luster and emotion. Where did Poseidon go? T.W.E.L.V.E? Bosso? …ASAA?
October 3rd, 2009 at 11:09 am
Interplanetary Escape Vehicle was the best album you guys ever dropped- why not bring back that funky, positive, beautiful sound? this new stuff just ends up so dark and hardcore it takes away from the blissful positivity your band used to embody.
October 3rd, 2009 at 11:37 am
first off tribe is better than they have ever been and will continue to get better. Second, im sure none of the band members read these posts cause I talked to murph about it. Finally, STS9 right now is way better than they were from 2000-2005. I saw them during those years and left tons of shows if I wasnt intoxicated enough, it wasnt good. Now there is nothing better. However, STS9 and Pretty Lights go together like PB&J. word

hahahahaha. is this a joke. for serialz?
but on a REAL note, thanks for dropping that satori last night. hopefully this is the turning back of the tide. and also thanks for stopping the censorship. i may have problems with your new direction, but i love the activism you engage in. and the constant censorship made that hard to take seriously. much love for at least keeping it real now.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:38 pm
They can and do moderate/censor A LOT of comments on here. Trust me.
October 3rd, 2009 at 8:22 pm
I too hope this is a “turning back of the tide”
Satori was beautiful – thank you.
Let’s keep this momentum up – variety is the spice of life.

October 3rd, 2009 at 9:21 pm
man… yall mod’d all my comments… its called constructive criticism. listen to your fans, they are always right
October 3rd, 2009 at 9:49 pm
MIKI – word
CDT – really? i mean, really?? like really really? basically youre sayin shock d > frequencies 2>3/etc.; empires > breathe in/equinox/H2O song/etc.; pb68>pb08 > trinoc>viby/etc.l; BRN > pianoir/hi-key/etc..?? JIGGAWHAT??!! notice the et ceteras.. they explain A LOT
cant believe you actually believe that. i mean, to each their own, but like youre just flat wrong, and its hard to be wrong when it comes to ones opinions… but youre just wrong
im not trying to be mean or anything, just sayin… much love to the band as long as they continue to include the satori types into the set. satori had to be exciting for them to play after 4 years, so why not stick to that theme with a WHOLE lotta other songs??
October 4th, 2009 at 7:44 am
on another note…I thought Mike Lee destroyed it in Austin lastnight on Iclips. The set-up of the LED’s and the lights just looked incredible. It was like they were playing in space for moments there.
October 4th, 2009 at 8:36 am
atlas is still just noise
October 4th, 2009 at 6:26 pm
thank you so much seriously….wonder if umbra and arp are going to be on the cd
October 4th, 2009 at 7:51 pm
Nice to see real comments on here for a change.
Hoping for the best on the new album. Very curious w/ Atlas as the first track to come forth.
October 4th, 2009 at 7:53 pm
I would like to add that Satori was indeed beautiful. Wonderful to hear.
October 5th, 2009 at 8:23 pm
Since 2003 I have given absurd amounts of time, energy, and money to STS9. I wish they would keep their true fans in mind with their chosen direction. This album concept scares me when the hit single is Atlas
October 5th, 2009 at 9:12 pm
or twelve? Or squares n cubes? Or quests, hb walks, luma, grow, kpt, posiedon, asaa?
any of those would be lovely please : D
October 5th, 2009 at 9:13 pm
Better yet, how bout better day…
October 5th, 2009 at 9:50 pm
So I really hope this new album surprises me. The Atlas studio single is a little bit tighter than the live versions I’ve seen/heard.
Honestly though, I feel like fans that think the material Tribe has been playing recently is better than the older stuff really don’t appreciate organic music played on INSTRUMENTS by talented musicians, but only about the electronic mechanically produced dance floor sounds that goes with the current scene. I mean, what good is a drummer as amazing as Zach, if kids just want to hear a drum machine?
CDT
”
I saw them during those years and left tons of shows if I wasnt intoxicated enough, it wasnt good.”
You’re entitled to your opinion, but…
This is just insulting to the band and the amazing music they worked hard at for years which made them great. You don’t need to be intoxicated to enjoy good music; you’re just into the scene and the drugs weren’t good enough, and maybe it was too chill or too jazzy.
In those years, Tribe played with more finese and creativity, and more of the improv they became known and loved for, than any other years after Artifact. I mean, I became a fan after listening to Equinox and others off Seasons 01 in 2002. I was impressed by a talented mix of jazzy skills with an electronic dnb influenced sound, which was almost spiritual.
It IS spiritual now, to some of us, and they are still my favorite shows to go to in the world. But Tribe isn’t Tribe without that laid-back funk at their roots… If you don’t think so, go listen to a DJ… Pretty Lights is good, but what does that have to do with Tribe?

Anyone want to sell the first night tic?
November 3rd, 2009 at 2:24 am
okay for those who have not heard this, you are truly missing out. I head the pleasure of being at the halloween, nashville show, and prior to then, I hadnt heard any new material from them since peaceblaster. and dont get me wrong i’ve loved everything they’ve done. they create an energy unmatched by any other band in the live setting. As for the show. it blew me away, i expected a great time as always, but what i left with was something sacred. they showed us a metamorphosis into a whole new beast, a new world of potential, and experience, and expansion. keep up the great work guys, and keep playing with those low end frequencies. my senses go crazy feeling those waves move through me.
