STS9 rolled into Lawrence, KS this past Saturday night with every intention of making their headlining slot at 2008′s Wakarusa Music Festival one to remember. They succeeded. What will undoubtably go down in the books as one of the best festival sets of the past few years the 10,000+ faithful in attendance were treated to rare treats and the debut of Metameme, a song from the upcoming album “Peaceblaster” to be released July 8th on 1320 RECORDS. You can peep the madness RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW.

if I would have heard someone say that the flaming lips show was better, I too would have laughed uncontrollably and then sprinkled baby powder on my hand and slapped them. Tribe once again you brought it strong. Thanks for a great weekend. See you on the Rocks!

Now, hold onto your glowstick…this is coming from a 58 yr. young hippie who has attended live music for over 40 years and seen hundreds of performances:
STS9′s Wakarussa set was the GREATEST dance experience I have EVER had in MY ENTIRE EXISTANCE!!!
Beter then seeing Hawkwind, Pink Floyd and Moby. Better then witnessing Crystal Method, PanGaea and even, Gods forgive me, CREAM at the Fillmore back in 1967.
Serious!
I cannot express in words (but I’ll try) who HONORED I was to attend and GREATFUL to the God/dess for being lifted up, heart chakra completly open and danced into Nirvana by these gifted artists.
Needless to say, I am a fan for life.
THANK YOU – THANK YOU – THANK YOU!!!!!!

the sts9 waka show was amazing, YES. Also, meeting David From STS9 at the 3a.m. DIRTFOOT SET later that night was, needless to say, an honor. THanks for the picture, and being incredibly nice, as i’m sure you were exhausted after bending over 10,000 plus dancing campers and showing them that you don’t always just need to HEAR BASS: SOMETIMES YA GOTTA FEEL IT IN YOUR KNEES TOO!! we got up front row and I have NEVER experienced Bass like that…. and that is coming from every bonnaroo, and years of FB Society Shows in new orleans (if you know, then you know, that sound was state of the art)
life love you all.
thank you sts9
next time.
